PCB Manufacturing

Sometimes referred to as PCB fabrication, PCB manufacturing is one of the first stages of PCB production. This is a process carried out by specialists working from an initial design. 

As the success of PCB fabrication often hinges on the quality of this design, it can be very easy to fall at the first hurdle. Not to worry. Instead of leaving you in the dark, we have created an extensive document to make the process easier for both of us. 

Also included as standard in our PCB manufacturing services are many stringent quality control measures. These serve two functions: to save on costs during the subsequent assembly process and to prevent future electronic assembly failure. 

On top of all this, what really sets our fabrication processes apart is how we run designs from different customers on the same sheet, providing they have identical technical specifications. By doing so, we cut costs at both ends and reduce lead times significantly. 

PCB Assembly

Once your PCB has been manufactured, your components will need to be mounted to the bare board. This is what is known as PCB assembly. As a delicate process in which solder is used to attach components to the board, it is best left to specialists. 

These days, PCB assembly is predominantly machine-led, with human input at crucial stages. Our assembly services are no different. We use cutting-edge technology throughout these processes, and these are competently overseen by our on-site experts. 

As with PCB fabrication, we employ strict quality control measures with every order to ensure that high standards are maintained. In the rare instance that we encounter a problem with a parts placement, we are fully equipped to rework every type of component.

PCB Stencil

We offer a comprehensive laser-cut stencilling service to enable proper placement of components during PCB assembly processes. By using this method, solder application is made easier and faster. In the long term, this will reduce the chances of circuit failure and ensure product safety. 

PCB Train is the only PCB specialist with an in-house laser cutting machine, which guarantees both quick turnarounds and high-quality assemblies.

Conformal Coating

Conformal coating is an essential add-on that can prolong the life of your printed circuit board. Without it, you risk a deterioration in performance should your PCB come into contact with moisture, chemicals or extremes of temperature. 

So named because it is a thin polymeric film that ‘conforms’ to all aspects of the board, conformal coating is now considered vital. Our in-house robotic spray facilities are known for delivering excellent results, so you can trust us to protect your prized asset.
